Wheee I meant to upload this ages ago, but graduate school and life happened. Better late than never!
This guy was an assignment to create a work based on a myth/legend from the city of Prague in the Czech Republic. I visited there several times in the past, and all the statues and their aging process really inspired me. Some are over 700 years old! What might they look like if they've been acid-rained on, dissolved, turned to mud, and amalgamed over centuries?
At the bottom there's some concept sketches I did before sculpting as well as some texture and color research. This guy is made out of paperclay and painted with watercolors. Moss and stonework are architectural model products.
